In 2000, a member of a family, Amith Goonathilake commenced a new business under the name, Kohuwala Picture Palace(KPP) in the town of Kohuwala mainly to satisfy the increasing glass requirements of local customers. Following the footsteps of HPP, KPP soon became a leading importer and distributor of architectural building glass across all parts of Sri Lanka. The company gradually expanded its business into value added services such as glass edging, beveling, tempering and hole-drilling; and providing glass solutions to hierarchy buildings.
